LOOKING BACK ON 2023 AND AHEAD TO 2024

Many people have new year’s resolutions by the time they get to January. This usually follows looking back at the past year. I think this is good practice, reflecting on what was done, and what could be done in future. From a prophetic point of view we can also look at how the past year’s events fall in line with Biblical predictions, and what can be expected to happen next.

I have mentioned before that we as Christians are awaiting the imminent rapture of believers- this will be just before the start of the Great Tribulation, as we see explained in the books of Daniel and Revelation. I read this week that seers and fortune tellers are en masse predicting a removal of masses of people from earth by “aliens.” This will of course be the best logical explanation for those who do not know their Bible.

Last year this time I mentioned how we see the signs of the times, predicted by Jesus in Matt 24, coming together at an alarmingly fast pace.

As usual we’ll look at some of these :

ISRAEL – During 2023 the world focused strongly on Israel and the Jews. The ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war faded into the background in this regard. The content of the book of Revelation focuses more than 70% on Jews and Israel. So it makes sense that the world will focus more on them. Most end-time events also happen in or around Israel, so this insinuates that the Jews must be living there when these things happen! Currently more than 47% of the world’s Jews live in Israel. So they are nearing the tipping point of 50%.

When the Oct 7th Hamas war broke out, hundreds of thousands of young people streamed back to Israel to defend their homeland. One would think that due to the dangerous situation they would avoid the land, but the opposite happened! This proves the strength of the Jews’ belief that the land of Israel was given to them by God.

A few days before the start of 2023, Israel got a new prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. An internal political crisis of nine months long followed, and it almost seemed like we would have civil war in Israel. 2023 was also the 75th anniversary of Israel becoming a nation in May 1948.

To date she has survived the 1948 War of Independence, the 1956 Six-day War, the 1973 Yom Kippur war, several Lebanon wars and many intifadas (uprisings). With the focus on internal unrest, the Oct 7 Hamas war came as a surprise to most. Up till then Russia had a love-hate relationship with Israel, but the Hamas war aligned Russia against her.

The Hamas war was the start of the Ps. 83 War, where Iranian proxies start to fight with Israel. Some call this the inner circle wars, where the countries around Israel start attacking her, before the eventual outer-circle Gog-Magog war starts, where Russia, Iran, Turkey and others get directly involved (Ez 38/39). We predict that in 2024 we’ll see Hezbollah from Lebanon getting involved.

Then we have witnessed the rise of anti-Semitism, not seen since the days of Hitler. All over the globe we see uprisings, demonstrations, fights and protests against the Jews. The Bible predicted this too as a sign of the times, that Israel will be hated by all nations.

ONE WORLD ORDER AND ONE WORLD RELIGION – Globalist elites want to have a New World Order, with a One World Religion. Pope Francis has been working hard this year to achieve this goal.

In 2013 already he declared that even Atheists are redeemed with Christ’s blood. In 2014 he confirmed his belief in evolution, and also extended an invitation to unity with Charismatic leaders such as Kenneth Copeland. In 2019 Francis signed a pledge of fraternity with the Islamic Grand Imam. In 2020 he indicated support for same-sex unions, and this year (2023) he instructed priests to also “bless” such gay unions. During the Covid-19 pandemic he called on all religions to pray together, etc. Last month (Nov 2023) he declared that Buddha and Jesus are on the same level. In his latest speech he repeatedly emphasized that ALL people are “God’s children.”

It is also interesting how globalist billionaires such as Marc Zuckerberg, international bankers, soccer players, climate change leaders, the now woke Walt Disney CEO and other religious gurus and leaders all hustle to have meetings with Francis. As if politics, soccer, business or the environment is part of religion!

It is becoming clear, even within the Catholic community that this is their “black pope”, so-called by their own “prophets” such as St. Malachy, and that the election of Francis as pope during the 2013 conclave (assembly of cardinals) was irregular. Of course we do not find reference of a black pope in Scripture, but we do find reference to the False Prophet of the last days, who will promote the Antichrist. The False Prophet’s predicted actions have a striking resemblance to those of the pope.

RED HEIFERS– I wrote last year how red heifers were bred, for the first time since the time of Jesus, according to instructions in Num 19 so as to provide ashes for sprinkling on people for the “forgiveness of their sins” (but see Heb 9:13- only the blood of Jesus can forgive sins). This month the eldest of these heifers are ready for slaughter, and the rest will be ready within the next 3-6 months. Of course it is possible that their offspring, or new heifers still to be discovered, will be the ones to be used in the Third Jewish Temple, and not these, but if the Jews could build their temple in 2024, it will indeed be these exact heifers. Time will tell.

One would reason that the Hamas war is delaying the urgency of building the temple, but again the opposite is happening. Religious Jews are now more eager to get the temple going!

Jewish tradition has it that the Messiah himself (the Antichrist) will slaughter these heifers, so the appearance of the Antichrist could soon become a reality. And before this happens we will have the rapture of the church.


USA LOSING WORLD DOMINANCE AND THE RISE OF CBDCs AND AI –
We read much about the rising of Russia and China as world players, so changing the geo-political scene within the spheres of global politics and economics. The BRICS+ coalition was enlarged this year, and several countries (notably Saudi Arabia, the world’s greatest oil supplier outside the US, and Iran, Israel’s arch-enemy) are joining next month. At the same time there is a massive influx of immigrants without papers into the US, and some believe that many of these immigrants are actually sleeper agents of China, waiting for a signal to attack Americans from within.

Development of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) is also accelerating. 130 countries are now exploring a CBDC, representing 98 percent of global GDP. A new high of sixty-four countries are now in the advanced phase of exploration (launch, pilot, or development). Of course this switch to a cashless society is needed for the Mark of the Beast to work (Rev 13). We have also seen an increase in the technological development of microchips, and as I predicted last year, a steady increase in the value of gold and Bitcoin.

Some predict the US will lead the way regarding CBDCs with switching to the digital dollar as answer to runaway inflation, caused mainly by the shift away from the US dollar.

Then we have the steady acceleration of the development of Artificial Intelligence. During an interview with the CNBC broadcaster, Elon Musk claimed that “digital god” will replace the US Court system within the next three to five years, and that Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), i.e. superhuman AI, that will arguably will be beyond human control, will be here by 2030. It is now clear that the Antichrist will certainly use AGI to deceive mankind. The idea of Transhumanism is no longer far-fetched.

With all these things happening the world should be worried. Very worried. If you don’t know Jesus as Savior the long-term and mid-term future is bleak. Only in Christ do we have the assurance of overcoming these things.

Jesus said in John 14:1-3 “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” So, if we are born again, walking daily with the Lord, we can know that Jesus is preparing a better world for us, and will fetch us soon! Amen!
