Ye MUST be born-again (John 3:3)

Which Text Line is your Bible from?

There are two sources from which Bible translations originate. The first is the ANTIOCH/ TRADITIONAL text line. Discples of Jesus were first called Christians in Antioch, and this city understandably became a focus point for the early Christians, mission trips etc.

Together with Bibles such as the Geneva Bible and the Bishops Bible the KJB comes from the pure ANTIOCH/ TRADITIONAL text line, which used more than 5,000 manuscripts and more than 40 papyri- which all have a consistent message.

Then there was the ALEXANDRIAN text line, the line where all the corruption originates. Clement and Origen were two heretics who strongly influenced the early development of corrupt Bible texts.

In the time of the Puritans in the 1600’s for example there was the pro-Catholic Rheims-Douay Bible that existed since 1582. This was of course not the first corrupt Bible- juts one of many in a line of corrupt versions. Since the original manuscripts Satan has been out to change what God said. Didn’t he already in the Garden of Eden question what God said? (Gen 3:1). It is also a stated aim of New Age leaders to ultimately create a “holy book” that is acceptable to all religions. To make this acceptable to readers the Bible must be changed “bit-by-bit,” they say. All these corrupted Bible versions come from the ALEXANDRIAN line. Bibles from this line are based on only about 45 manuscripts, including the pro-Catholic Vaticanus and highly suspect Sinaiticus, and a handful of papyri -that mostly contradict each other.

But things went from bad to worse, and things are accelerating downhill, as Satan knows he has little time left. Two very important authors in the development of the Alexandrian (corrupt) text line were Westcott and Hort. Both these men were apostates. Westcott did not accept Gen 1-3, the bodily resurrection of Christ, miracles, literal return of Christ etc. Hort did not accept the infallibility of Scripture, favoured the Evolution theory, and did not believe in eternal punishment or vicarious atonement. Yet they wrote the Westcott-Hort Greek NT in 1881. Upon this was based the Revised Version of 1881, and upon that the NIV, ASV, ESV, Jehovah Witness Bible, The Message etc.

So upon which text line is your Bible based?
