South-African banks are some of the finest examples of secure financial institutions that use Know Your Customer (KYC) and anti-money-laundering practices. It is of interest then that the South-African Reserve Bank, that oversees all banks in the country, is interested in blockchain technology and the development of a cashless financial system, as was predicted in Rev 13:17 where, in the time of the end, there will be a universal financial system enforced upon mankind so “that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Later on this number is identified as 666- which is the number we find on barcodes that identify products in retail and other shops.
The articles herewith “The rand is going digital” says the Reserve Bank issued an Expression of Interest on 29 April 2019 on the feasibility of a central bank digital currency as electronic legal tender. Much still be needed to be done before such electronic money system can be introduced (such as old-dated legislation will have to be updated), but the Wolrd Economic Forum predicts that within the next four years many banks will start implementing these blockchain-based money systems- leading us closer to the Biblical predicted cashless society.

The Lord Jesus Christ will come to fetch His bride just before we have the entrance of the antichrist on the political scene, who will have this cashless system implemented. Are you ready for His coming? Jesus invites all of us who are thirsty for eternal life to come to Him: “And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will let him take the water of life freely.” Rev 22:17. You are invited!
