Some “Signs of the End times” to look out for:




NATIONS WILL BECOME HIGHLY INDEBTED- Hab 2:6
Right now with the Corona-virus epidemic millions of people are loosing their jobs, and economies suffer severely. Many areas are filing bankruptcy. The Heavily Indebted Poor Countries (HIPC) Initiative was launched in 1996 by the IMF and World Bank to help countries with debt relief of $76 BILLION (in 2020). It is clear that nations are becoming more and more indebted to international globalist organizations such as the IMF.


DAMASCUS, SYRIA WILL BE DESTROYED- Is 17:1
Armed conflict has raged in Syria, and specifically in its capital, Damascus, for many years. In April 2016 a fire destroyed large parts of the city. Yet every time its citizens, its architects and builders rise from the ashes to rebuild their city. The Bible predicts though that in the end times it will become a “ruinous heap” Israel has long been an enemy to terrorists groups supported by Syria, and it is not unreasonable to suggest that end-time destruction will come from Israeli missiles.


THE KINGS OF THE NORTH AND SOUTH MUST BE IDENTIFIED- Dan 11:27
Daniel 11 refers to the time of the Antichrist. In this chapter we read about the “king of the north” and the “king of the south” that will be in battle. God then shows through the prophet Zechariah that eventually all nations are going to be drawn into a conflict centered in Jerusalem. God says, “Behold, the day of the LORD is coming. … For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem” (Zechariah 14:1-2). This is called the battle of Armageddon, that will be at the end of the Great Tribulation of seven years.


The “king of the North,” will likely be a revival of the Roman Empire (the fourth kingdom spoken of in Daniel 2 and 7 as well as in Revelation 17). In our current context the contemporary reformations in the Roman Catholic Church, which make a merger between Romanism and Protestantism or a merger between Romanism and Greek Orthodoxy more credible, are therefore significant as being a part of the trend toward a world church. The world church as portrayed in Revelation 17 will not actually be consummated in its final form until after the true church, the body of Christ, is caught up to be with the Lord (The Rapture).


The history of prophetic fulfillment supports the conclusion that prophecy will be fulfilled literally. In keeping with this principle is the belief that there will be a fulfillment of the details of the fourth empire in its final stage which were left unfulfilled in history. Hence there will be a revival of Rome politically, and a revival of Rome religiously, which will eventually center both political and religious power in the Middle East and ultimately culminate in a world government and a world religion (Rev 13:7-8). This is the “king of the North”- but in exact form not identified yet.


Historically the “king of the South” was Egypt. It is not identified yet who will take over this role in the end times. Will it be a revived Egypt, or a substitute that for some reason go to war with the “king of the north”? Time will tell, but this is a sign of the times that we can look out for.

TEN HORNS AND A LITTLE HORN IN EUROPE
Prophetic passages in Daniel 2, 7, Revelation 13, and 19 point to five world systems, four which have passed. In the book of Daniel we see how Daniel, by God’s Spirit, interprets King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream about a statute. Daniel interprets it as referring to five kingdoms/ empires:
1) Babylonian (the statute’s head of gold)
2) Medo-Persian (the statute’s chest and arms of silver)
3) Greek (the statute’s belly and thighs of bronze)
4) Rome (the statute’s legs of iron)
5) Revived Roman (the statute’s 10 toes of part-iron, part-clay).


Now Dan 7:24-27 says “the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. And he [The Antichrist] shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws [New Age ideas] : and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time [a year + 2 years + half a year= 3.5 years].


Some commentators identify the revived Roman empire as an Ecumenical grouping (part Roman, part Protestant), out of which 10 toes/ kings will arise. The European Union has been given as a possible candidate for this grouping, although it currently has more than 10 member-countries. The main 10 countries, however, are identified as Spain, POrtugal, France, Great Britian, Austria, Italy, Luxemborg, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands. (Source= http://historicism.com/misc/tenhorns.htm). Out of the 10 kingdoms will arise another “king” that will be different to all the others, and will subdue these 10 kingdoms. From Bible passages it is clear that this refers to the Antichrist, who will take over rule of the European kingdoms.


So one should look out for a clearer identification of who exactly these 10 “kingdoms” are.


GETTING READY TO REBUILD THE JEWISH TEMPLE


Although it is fairly certain that rebuilding the Third Jewish Temple in Jerusalem will happen after the rapture, one should look out for preparations to start building.


The vast majority of mainstream Orthodox-Jewish rabbis believe that a) The Jewish temple will be rebuilt in Jerusalem, and b) Messianic redemption has to precede the building of the Temple. They confirm that who they believe will be the Jewish messiah, will be revealed first, THEN the temple will be rebuilt. The Bible calls the Jewish messiah (who will deceive the Jewish people into thinking he is their messiah) the Antichrist. The Antichrist will only take over global rule after the Rapture.


The Jewish nation has been standing ready to rebuild the temple for years, and it is said that it is possible, in fact, to rebuild it within weeks.


Perhaps the biggest obstacle in the way of rebuilding the temple is of course that it needs to be built on the land where one of Islam’s most holy sites, the Al-Aqsa Mosque, is situated. Whether such displacement occurs by man or God, is deeply offensive to Muslims and politically explosive, to put it mildly. There are others that say that there is in fact room for the temple to be built on the same land but next to the Mosque. Either way the land itself is regarded by Muslims as holy ground. Perhaps this problem can ONLY be solved by one person, who is at the same the Imam Mahdi, eschatological redeemer of Islam, (who, incidentally, is said to rule for 5,SEVEN, 9 or 19 years until the Day of Judgment), and the Jewish Messiah.


Rebuilding the temples is a necessity before the Antichrist can defile the temple through the “Abomination of Desolation”, as predicted in Daniel 9:27,11:31,12:11
